Mairin Briody is an artist living and working on Wadawurrung Country in Ballaarat, Victoria. Briody’s practice is founded in material and improvisation, exploring an expanded notion of painting and agency.
Briody is completing a Masters of Fine Art at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and has studied at University of New South Wales, University of Sydney and Deakin University across Art Theory, Art Curatorship and Fine Art practice prior to this. Briody has accrued 20 years of experience in professional arts management and administration, having been involved in the successful delivery of numerous art projects including M~M Festival in Geelong and Civic Hall Site in Ballaarat.
